South Florida trusts me to guide families through memorials, celebrations of life, senior home services and grief centered spiritual support. My life has carried me from the quiet strength of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the vibrant pulse of New York City, and now to the warm and steady light of South Florida. Every step shaped my understanding of connection, meaning and the ways we honor the people we love.
I serve as The Modern Officiant, a reverend, storyteller and spiritual companion for families navigating life’s most profound transitions. I help families honor their loved ones with modern, gentle and inclusive memorial ceremonies that bring clarity, comfort and peace. I have always believed that every person’s story deserves to be remembered with dignity, truth and heart.
I am an ordained reverend grounded in non denominational inclusive spirituality. My approach is inspired by Unity principles and Interfaith teachings that recognize the divine light within every individual. My Doctorate of Divinity was conferred in recognition of my work in compassionate spiritual leadership, community service and honoring the diverse traditions that shape our world.
As a lifelong student of Interfaith Studies, I understand how to create ceremonies that feel authentic to the people you love. There is nothing scripted or generic about the way I work. Every ceremony is designed with intention so it reflects the life, values and spirit of the person being remembered.
I am a certified grief and bereavement support specialist, trained to understand the emotional and spiritual needs of individuals and families experiencing loss. This background allows me to guide South Florida families with:
• Celebration of Life ceremonies
• non religious memorials
• simple cremation memorials
• senior home remembrance services
• hospice and palliative support gatherings
• Holiday candlelight remembrance services
• grief rituals and storytelling circles
Ceremonies, when created with care, become mirrors. They show us where we have been, who we have loved and how we move forward. My purpose is to hold space with presence, steadiness and compassion so your family feels supported and seen in moments when everything feels uncertain.
My spiritual journey did not begin behind a pulpit. It began on the dance floors of New York City, where Gospel House music taught me that rhythm and spirit belong to everyone. I later produced and DJ’d Faith Lift, an event series that brought thousands together to connect, celebrate and feel something larger than themselves. Time Out New York called it the most inclusive party in the city.
That experience shaped how I lead ceremonies today. Sacredness is not found in formality. It is found in presence, sincerity and humanity. It is found in the courage to show up as we are. Every memorial I lead is rooted in warmth, inclusion and a modern sense of reverence. My goal is always the same. Create a ceremony that truly feels like the person you are honoring.
South Florida is not just where I live. It is the community I am devoted to serving. I work closely with families in every stage of grief, senior living communities, assisted living and memory care centers, hospice and palliative care teams, cremation providers, LGBTQIA plus communities and multicultural and interfaith families.
Whether I am standing with you on a shoreline at sunrise, leading a candlelight service in a senior residence or gathering your family in your home to remember a life well lived, I bring the same intention. Reflect the light within your loved one. Honor your truth. Guide you with compassion and clarity.
Let Us Honor Your Loved One Together
Modern. Meaningful. Personal. Created with intention and shaped just for you.
It would be my honor to walk with you as we celebrate the life, legacy and love of someone who mattered deeply.
With grace and gratitude,
